Terry Donohue Jenkins

First Dose of Pfizer on 07/22/21 Lot #EW0196

Ohio

Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?

My life was going great! I exercised 5 to 6 days a week and have always been very healthy. I own a pet sitting and dog walking business that kept me very busy and active.

Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?

I got my 1st dose of Pfizer on July 22, 2021 at 1:30 pm. After the shot my throat felt a little tight but I chalked it up to nerves. A couple hours after the shot I began feeling sick. I was short of breath, my throat was feeling a little tighter and my chest felt tight too. As the hours went on I began feeling tired and thought this is all normal. Around 9/9:30PM I felt a pain in my right calve. I also had tingling in my hands and feet. I was concerned but told myself it can’t be related. I reassured myself by repeating the what the professionals and the CDC and the health department the vaccine is very safe. I went to bed hoping I would wake up.

July 23rd I did wake up but very sick. I was achy, had a bad headache, runny nose, the chills, low grade fever, still shortness of breath, chest tightness, throat was still tight, my skin was sensitive to the touch, nauseas, diarrhea, coughing and racing heartbeat.

As the day went on my fever went up to 102.3. Around 9:30pm my hands felt cold and finger felt numb and all of my fingers from the 2nd knuckle up turned completely white. I knew that wasn’t normal. But they did get their color back after a while. I felt like I had Covid all over but with odd symptoms. I couldn’t even walk 20 steps without being short of breath.

July 24th, I began to feel better but still had a headache, fatigue, Loose stools, tingling in extremities, coughing, shortness of breath. I scheduled an appointment to see my family doctor the next day.

July 25th still had headaches, loose stools, coughing and shortness of breath. I saw my doctor and she told me I had an anaphylactic reaction. She said I SHOULD NOT take the 2nd dose because I could very likely die from the anaphylaxis because the 2nd dose was much more powerful. She also said my immune system must be strong which is why my body fought itself against the vaccine. Which is why I am now wondering WHY we are being told we NEED the vaccine if my body recognized it already.

She dismissed all my other symptoms and said they were "strange". My blood pressure was higher than my normal 116/74. It was 142/95. July 26th, I had coughing, shortness of breath and I began having strange episodes of confusion, loss of balance, a pain behind my right eye, dizziness, blurred vision, I felt like I was in a dream like an out of body experience. I was unable to understand what the people on TV were saying and couldn’t understand words were on the screen. I knew they were words but I couldn’t make sense of them.

Q: What is your life like now, after getting the vaccine?

I no longer can be out in temperatures under 40 degrees due the my neuropathy. It is extremely painful. Even inside when it is 70, my hands and feet hurt and I have to wear gloves and thick socks all the time. My memory fails me often and I forget things much more than I used to. I have a hard time with fine motor skills in my fingers and have difficulty and pain when even taking a lid off of a container. I am very emotional and depressed much of the time because I have not been able to live a normal life again.

Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:

I went to the ER a few days after the mini strokes because I didn't want to wait for the 40 days it took to get in to see a neurologist. I was still having shortness of breath so they did a chest X ray, blood work and MRI. All came back normal. But I knew none of this was normal. I saw a neurologist and after going thru my medical history I was diagnosed with having Mini Strokes due to small blood clots caused by the vaccine. I am a healthy 54-year-old, I am in shape, exercise daily, I eat right, don’t drink, don’t smoke, I’m not on any hormones, I have excellent blood pressure and cholesterol and I am 5’4 and weigh 123lbs. There was other explanation for this. As weeks went by the tingling turned to burning and pain. I have now been diagnosed with Small Fiber Neuropathy in my hands and feet.

Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?

I have reported my adverse reactions to VAERS and have not heard back.

Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?

There is nothing that has helped other than wearing gloves and thick socks.

Q: What do you wish others knew?

I would like others to PLEASE weigh your risks vs the benefits of this vaccine. I was virtually low to no risk. I regret my decision getting this vaccine now especially finding out it is only short lived in its protection. I am asking that parents really think about the risk they are putting their children in when they are in fact extremely low risk of dying from or being severly ill from covid unless they have underlying health problems. I have met too many others like me and even children injured by these vaccines.
