Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?

I was very active. I loved to go cross-country skiing, biking, hiking. Physical activity is what got me through Covid. I worked full-time and had a very happy family life.

Q: Would you like to share your reasons for getting vaccinated?

I worked directly with the public and felt at risk of catching covid. I wish now I had looked at the real risks of covid for someone my age. I also felt pressure from the media, society, government, etc. We were not told at all about potential side effects of the vaccine. It was also so rushed.

Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?

The day after my AZ shot, I had tingling in my right hand and foot. At first, it spread quite slowly. In July, I had the Pfizer shot and that seemed to move things even more in the wrong direction. By October, I had tingling and numbness all over my body. I also developed tinnitus and an internal tremor. Now, I have all the same symptoms but ten times worse. I have a constant internal tremor, tingling and numbness all over. I have also given up many of the activities I love like biking, because my arms are very weak.

Q: Tell us about any Tests, Diagnoses, and/or Medical Care:

I have a positive skin biopsy and blood work from Germany showing an autoimmune marker for small fiber neuropathy. In Canada, it is tough to access treatment (IVIG) that could help me.

Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?

I haven't really found anything yet that has helped me.

Q: Have you had Covid before? What was your experience if so?

I had Covid in March 2022. It was a walk in the park compared to vaccine reaction.

Q: What do you wish others knew?

If you have an adverse reaction, you will most likely be left on your own. The media, many doctors, the government do not want to acknowledge this is going on. Think twice before taking a booster. Especially, please do not vaccinate your young children unless absolutely necessary. We do not need two year olds suffering life-changing injuries from a vaccine they do not need.
