Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?
I have chronic health issues but was doing GREAT before the vaccine. I had been on IVIG and then SCIG for over a year which had put me in a very good place. Two grand babies were on the way and I was excited!
Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?
I had immediate and lasting migraines from the first shot which improved to milder headaches and fatigue. After the second shot everything fell apart.
This happened in order:
Ongoing headaches with tinnitus.
Severe sinus infection treated for a month.
Follow up culture showed gram negative staph still being treated.
EBV and CMV reactivated
Severe POTS.
Myocarditis and pericarditis.
Adrenal fatigue.
Memory loss.
Q: What is your life like now, after getting the vaccine?
Most days are spent resting. Energy to accomplish important tasks is insufficient.
Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:
Viral testing for cmv and EBV positive
Culture testing staph positive
POTS testing positive
Cardiac MRI positive for myopericarditis
Lung ct negative for cancer relapse
Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?
I reported to Moderna. They did follow up to ask for the MRI results.
Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?
Colchicine has helped the most. I just started cortisone for adrenal fatigue.
Q: What do you wish others knew?
We must have informed consent and it is not being given. Had I known a fraction of the possibilities I would not have done it. It appears as if the vaccine deranged my t-cell system. I was unlucky to get the cardiac issues too. I got the shot in order to protect my health and the opposite occurred. Just because I have a past history peppered with chronic health does not mean my story is to be discounted. Can you imagine having fought for years to regain a quality of life only to have the vaccine take all those gains PLUS add additional health problems? It is devastating. I feel lucky to be alive. The Vaccine Injured must be supported and studied for treatments. Neither is happening.
