UPDATE DECEMBER 14, 2021:

So today once again a door slammed in the face of hope. I have had an appointment scheduled for over 3 weeks with a hematologist to talk about my extremely high inflammation marker SCD40L and they called today saying he is unable to see me and cannot/refuses to help me. Frustrating… We all need help and understanding!

Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?

I was a happy, 58 a year old "cowgirl tough" wife, mother and grandmother. I had no pre-existing conditions, nor was I taking any medication other than vitamins. Living on a ranch I enjoyed my daily chores feeding and caring for our horses, dogs and chickens. My weekends consisted of competing in AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse Shows at a high level. Weekdays after riding and perfecting my sport, I work in hotel accounting a minimum of 40 hours per week in our home office.

Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?

My first vaccine was March 2021 and I had no reaction and felt fine other than a sore arm. With this first result, I felt confident and even excited to be having my 2nd vaccine April 9, 2021. Life literally changed for me in a "heart beat"! Within 15 minutes after leaving the Civic Center I had to pull my truck over and call "911". I through my door open and put on my flashers, until the EMT's were on scene. My blood pressure was 220/145 and my heart rate was above 120. With facial numbness, confusion and my muscles twitching they transported me to the local hospital. Little did I know that this would be the first of many visits to the ER over the next 6 months. My adverse reactions continued to progress over the weeks and months with new constant high blood pressure, racing heart, heart pain, left clavicle pain, muscle twitching/pain, internal tremors with a heavy feeling, lower back pain, joint swelling, stomach pain, weight loss, difficulty in standing very long, extreme fatigue, brain fog and an overall feeling of doom. I have discovered my flares are now almost cyclical.

Q; What is your life like after you got the vaccine?

Life after the vaccine has been what I call "My Journey". Now in December, I am at 8 months. Three-quarters of a year that has been completely devoted to trying to figure out how to live through this ordeal. I have been blessed with lots of friend and family support. Suggestions have come from all directions of how to heal my body. All of their intentions are meant well, but sometimes down right crazy or scary! There was a point, I wrote letters to each of my family members incase I wasn't here any longer. I cried myself to sleep often, with my head turned, so that I wouldn't upset my husband. Time that is so precious, has been wasted on a focus I wasn't prepared for because I trusted the science.

Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:

I will try to abbreviate my medical care... In the last 8 months I have been to the Emergency Room 6 times and (admitted for 3 day stays X 3). When I was admitted they tested extensively on my heart, liver and gallbladder. EMG, EKG, MRI, CT Scans, stress tests, nerve test, thyroid test and biopsy and every kind of blood test possible. I have seen countless specialists. I have an upcoming appointment with a hematologist. My blood was also sent to Dr. Patterson's study twice and came back with highly elevated cytokines and I was officially diagnosed as a Covid "vaccine long hauler". My heart and liver are strong and that is why I am still here. My liver enzymes at one point were over 800-900 (ALT/AST). Interestingly, in early reports (December 2020) of the reported Moderna adverse reactions, gallbladder and heart are listed. "Unlucky" yes, I had both of these severe reactions prior to the announcement by the media that heart problems were a major concern for some people mostly young men, but again I wasn't their demographic. After an acute gallbladder attack in July, my gallbladder was removed in August. I am now permanently prescribed heart meds to reduce blood pressure and regulate heart rate along with other medications for the new "post vaccine" me with hope of recovery. On my medical records it now states I am "allergic to the Moderna Vaccine".

Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?

VAERS received my report on 04/22/2021. Moderna, I called and have spoken to them twice and they have requested all my medical records. I have yet to provide them my complete medical file. I have also received two calls from the CDC. No further communication has been made in the last month by any of the above listed.

Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?

Regular rest/routine and listening to my body. The medications prescribed have helped plus a antihistamine diet and medication. Time and patience is key, along with my faith.

Q: What do you wish others knew?

I wish our medical community was fully informed and NOT threatened by sharing the facts. The decision/free choice of any of these vaccines should be made and administered by our personal doctors office and or highly trained individuals. Complete information should be given to everyone on ALL adverse reactions and not censored! Our government and media have committed a crime against the injured! I personally have reached out to my local city and state politicians and media to no avail. It saddens me that anyone would ever vaccinate a child with this vaccine. We have zero "long term knowledge" of what damage to their bodies might occur, much less to what our own future holds. I pray daily for those of us that have suffered both mentally and physically. We are strong!
