Second Dose of Pfizer on 4/01/21
Austin, Texas

Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?
Before my second dose I was an active happy mom and wife preparing to grow my family. I taught special education for 7 years and planned on returning to the classroom soon. I loved traveling, planning activities for my family, and cooking.
Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?
Almost immediately I began to get leg pain. It then spiraled quickly for me. Hand and feet numbness, pins and needles, muscle weakness and spasms, pruning of the finger tips, extreme panic attacks, locking joints, and ringing in my ears.
Q: What was your life like after you got the vaccine?
After the vaccine everything changed. I went from being a vibrant young women to crying every single day. My life is filled with doctors appointments, blood testing, alternative therapies, and imaging now. Some days I was so weak I could barely care for my daughter. I’m no longer the wife or mother I once was. I feel like a shell of the person I use to be.
Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:
I have received no diagnosis. I’ve seen primary care, rheumatologist, internal medicine, dermatologist, urologist, neurologist and functional medicine. I’ve had MRIs, x- rays, and countless blood tests. I’ve only been told that this is anxiety and I’ve been asked how far I want to take it.
Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?
Yes to vaers and to Pfizer. I received a letter from Pfizer and sent it in with no response.
Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?
I received treatment from a doctor in LA. Since then my symptoms have improved and most of all I was heard and treated like a human being with a real condition.
Q: What do you wish others knew?
We are real. We are not anti anything. We need help. We are alone. We are scared. We had lives before this and we so desperately want to get back to them.
