Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?

I was very active and full of energy. I enjoyed hiking and chasing my girls. Always was on the go.

Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?

I started having an adverse reaction not even 24 hours after receiving the 1st dose of the vaccine. The symptom I first experienced was that evening with heart palpitations. I laid in bed feeling like my heart was pounding out of my chest. The next day a woke up fine, but a couple nights later, the heart palpitations were back. When I woke the next morning, I started experiencing chest pain, shortness of breath, and noticed a high heart rate upon standing. I went into the immediate care only to be sent to the ER for all my symptoms. I had numerous tests and blood work done, trying to figure out why my heart rate was so high and to help explain my symptoms. November 30th, I was diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome by a cardiologist. I have not ever had any health issues, until I received the vaccine. I have now had to completely alter my life, because I am limited to what I am able to do. I am a hair stylist who now has cut back on my hours of work, since one of the top things to avoid with POTS is standing for long periods of time. I now work from a stool. I no longer can be out in the heat, since it intensifies my symptoms. I get very out of breath just putting on my shoes. I no longer have the energy to keep up with my kids. I am no longer able to enjoy hot showers due to the effects it has on me resulting in me passing out. I have been put on many medications to help with my symptoms with very little luck. I long for the life I had before getting the vaccine, and knowing what I know now, I refuse to allow my children to receive the vaccine. I took for granted the healthy life I had before, but with the help of my therapist I’m pushing forward.

Q: What medical tests and diagnoses have you had?

I had numerous EKGs, Holter monitor, chest X-ray, heart echo, numerous blood work, and a tilt table test. On November 30th, I was diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome by a cardiologist.

Q: Was your reaction reported?

I submitted my case to VAERS.

Q: Is there anything that has helped or hurt your symptoms?

I have been on countless medications like beta blockers, and the more recent is Ivabradine to help with symptoms. One thing that has helped is drinking Liquid IV.

Q: Have you had Covid before?

No

Q: What do you wish others knew?

I wish people would realize that there are so many of us that have been impacted negatively from the vaccine. I still don’t think people realize how serious the risks are, and that it's not a small percentage number like the CDC is saying it is.
