Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?

I was living a normal life, with lots of activities and time spent with my young kids. Before Covid we used to travel a lot. I loved cooking and painting, having friends over.

Q: Would you like to share your reasons for getting vaccinated?

I took the vaccine because I was told it was the right thing to do to protect myself and others. I did not want to die from getting covid, I didn't want to risk having long covid. And here I am now with the same symptoms as long covid due to the vaccine.

Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?

Nothing after the first one. I got really sick for a few days after the 2nd one. The joint pain started 6 weeks later. That's when I started going to see doctors telling them that I had zero pain before the vaccine and suddenly I could barely move or walk. They all dismissed the link to the vaccine and encouraged me to get the booster. After the booster, it all went down! My joint pain got even worst, I started having back pain as well, chest pain, vibration, muscle twitching, tinnitus, headaches... I have had high inflammation markers since the second vaccine.

Q: What is your life like now, after getting the vaccine?

I have no life at the moment. I am in pain and in tears everyday. I fear that this vaccine will end up killing me one way or another. Some days, I can not even take care of my kids. And it is just me and my husband. We have no family around, no support system to help.

I am about to turn 40 next week, I never thought that I would be miserable on my 40th birthday. I keep wondering if I will still be alive that day...

Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:

I have seen one orthopedist, 4 rheumatologists, 2 cardiologist, 1 GP and 1 Long covid specialist. They all dismissed the link to the vaccine except for my GP, the last rheumatologist, and the long covid specialist.

I have had 10 blood tests done this past months. The results show high inflammation markers. So my rheumatologist is trying to treat the inflammation.

Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?

I wrote to pfizer, I don't think it will have any impact.

Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?

I have been taking prednisone for a months now, it helps to alleviate my symptoms by 50%. I am now also taking Meloxicam. And I take tons of vitamins and supplements but I don't think they help.

Q: Have you had Covid before? What was your experience if so?

No

Q: What do you wish others knew?

If I could go back in time, I'd rather take my chance with getting covid rather than taking the vaccine to end up where I am now. I regret getting vaccinated, I regret trusting doctors, I feel desperate!
