Paula Woodley, Respiratory Therapist

First Dose of Pfizer on 12/18/20

Second Dose of Pfizer on 01/12/21

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

44 yrs old

Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?

I was a healthy 44 year old respiratory therapist working in ICU…a mom to two daughters.

Q: Would you like to share your reasons for getting vaccinated?

My risk as a frontline healthcare worker and a belief they were absolutely safe

Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?

3 days after my second Pfizer dose, I had a stroke due to a carotid and vertebral dissection and a 10mm clot in my carotid artery….had several prolonged TIAs, vertigo, intense blood pressure swings, migraines, head and ear pressure, electrical zaps…

Q: What is your life like now, after getting the vaccine?

My symptoms are slowly improving over time. Had a stent placed in my carotid artery, but still struggle with ongoing daily migraines, vertigo, paresthesia, dizziness, palpitations and fluttering...

Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:

Reported it to my provincial health authority but was deemed “coincidental” and not related to the vaccine, despite numerous studies showing links to endothelial inflammation…my neurological symptoms are blown off as anxiety or migraines from stress.

Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?

Alberta Health Services. No follow up, just a call from a public health nurse that was not related to the vaccine, with zero explanation of this basis.

Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?

Slowly improving over time and thankfully no lasting deficits from the stroke

Q: Have you had Covid before? What was your experience if so?

Had omicron in January of this year…was very mild.

Q: What do you wish others knew?

Informed consent….these are not without risk.

Paula, I just want you to know you are not alone. As a fellow vaccine injured victim, I created a FB support group. If you need anything, please let me know. I hope to help as many people as I can just like us through support, resources, education, and anything else to help them through this journey with so many others that I am bringing together to support those like us. Sending prayers and hugs. Cat

I’m also an RT. When I got sick, I was told to quit. 24 years and just thrown away. I’m still recovering after a third relapse. What has helped are homeopathic supplements.

I‘m so sorry! I’m also a Respiratory Therapist here in VA. I was fired for refusing to take the shots. I almost died from a TDAP vaccine 6 years ago. I do not regret get fired at all! My new job granted my exemption no questions asked. I hope you continue to heal!

Thank you for sharing and so sorry this happened! Praying that God will bring complete restoration to your body, mind, soul and spirit Paula! Hope you join the fight for what is ahead!
