Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?

I had a busy life full-time night shift RN and two teenage sons that keep you on your toes constantly going. No health issues. We are an outdoor family. We love to go hiking, camping, swimming and just basically being outdoors.

Q: Would you like to share your reasons for getting vaccinated?

Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?

Almost a month after the second injection I collapsed at work. I was so weak and could barely move my arms and legs. I just felt like I was a zombie and for whatever reason it really attacked me in the left side of my body. I almost felt like I had a stroke but MRIs are negative. I’m left-handed so this really puts a damper on my life. I can’t do my job and can’t even take care of myself.

Q: What is your life like now, after getting the vaccine?

My life is miserable I’ve been through PT, 0T, several tests and several doctors. It was finally the second neurologist who said this was a reaction from the Covid injections. I just want my life back. I want to love life again, I wanna work, and I wanna be able to walk normal - not looking like I’m on the show The Walking Dead.

Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:

All my labs, MRIs, x-rays, are all normal. At first I thought I had Lymes disease, but it came back normal. I still went through IV Rocephin for a week and two rounds of doxycycline with no relief.

Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?

Yes and no response - except I lost my job.

Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?

Steroids do at first, on high doses; but as soon as I taper off - I’m right back where I started from. My symptoms aren’t improving. I still have severe body aches. I live on Motrin. I refuse to be a statistic and have declined any narcotics.

Q: Have you had Covid before? What was your experience if so?

Not that I am aware of.

Q: What do you wish others knew?

I was such an independent person before and absolutely loved being a nurse since 2004. Now it kills me that I have to rely on my family for help with everything.
