First Dose of Pfizer in 03/21

Missouri

Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?

I was pretty active working daily at hospital & walking when I got home, yoga every other day & riding my bike.

Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?

I got pretty ill after the 2nd shot & it just went downhill from there. I am having constant migraines, which I never even had headaches before. I have been to a Neurologist, pain clinic, chiropractors, allergist & have had x-rays & MRI’s. Have been dealing with migraines for 8 months now. I have been missing a lot of work, and I had to get on FMLA but at the risk of losing my job &/or getting on LTD. I am behind on paying my bills, and I am barely getting by. I have been healthy most of my life, and I am at my wits end because I can’t get the help I need. Nurse practitioners are all I get to see, which is fine but I am not getting results. I feel they are just dragging this out, with a long time between appts. They just talk all the time during the appointment, and prescribe meds that I don’t tolerate most of the time. They don’t want to hear or respond to my claim that it all started after receiving vaccine. These migraines feel like my head is getting struck by lightening & like it’s going to explode. There is never any warning, they just come on suddenly & I have nausea, have had blurred vision, can’t hardly see, don’t feel safe driving. My balance is suddenly way off (I’ve always had really good balance) & sometimes I’m walking & just suddenly go sideways. I have fallen & been in the ER from getting hurt. I feel like I’m not getting anywhere with doctors. I am really frustrated, depressed and can’t do anything about it.

Q: What is your life like now, after getting the vaccine?

I’ve never been this sick in my life, and I am so depressed from all of it.

Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:

My neurologist said I have Occipital Neuralgia & the pain clinic said I have nerve damage. Chiropractic care helps some, but it is not a permanent fix. My allergist has me getting weekly shots for allergies.

Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?

Don’t know if doctors have reported it, and I don’t know where to report it to. I wonder if it would even help if I did?

Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?

Some meds have helped, but only temporary & then it’s back to square one. My symptoms have gotten better somewhat, but then I’ll have a really bad week. There's never any warning.

Q: What do you wish others knew?

I know I’m not alone, and I have heard & read about others having neurologic problems also. I just want some help!
