Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?

I was an active person, training 4-5 days a week. Running, road and mountain biking. Local mountain bike and cyclo-cross races. Working in software quality assurance. Healthy, eating well.

Q: Would you like to share your reasons for getting vaccinated?

I took the vaccine to be protected from Covid and because it was supposed to be safe.

Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?

On May 23th, 2021 I received the first dose of the Pfizer-Biontech vaccine, lot number FA8721. For the first three days, symptoms were muscle and joint pain. May 27, when doing mountain biking, I experienced shortness of breath, vertigo, dizziness and extreme fatigue. May 31, all of the previous symptoms are present and a headache appears. Non-stop headache, 24h/day, 7 days a week. I took the second dose on July 08 because I thought, at that time, that I had nothing to lose and I'm a bit of a cowboy. By the end of July, symptoms are less important, so I resumed training, then crashed. September to October my symptoms are more intense, I struggled to be able to work. By the end of October, I was not able to work anymore.

Q: What is your life like now, after getting the vaccine?

Energy impairement, post-exertional malaise, shortness of breath, brain fog, dizziness, palpitations, tinnitus, noise sensitivity. I'm not able to work, train, or have social activities anymore.

Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:

Many tests have been done but none explain my symptoms. Blood tests, Lyme, AIDS, Hepatitis and Covid negative. Rx lungs, thorax and pelvic computed tomography, cardioechogram, electrocardiogram. I was diagnosed with long covid: vaccine side effects were not excluded.

Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?

I'm Canadian so I reported at federal and provincial level. I also reported to Pfizer. No response from federal. Provincial public health called me and said no contraindication for another dose. Pfizer asked me to fill out another form for more details.

Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?

The headache has disappeared since December 2021. Only rest seems to help.

Q: Have you had Covid before? What was your experience if so?

No

Q: What do you wish others knew?

I wish people like us to be taken seriously, treated properly, and healed.
