Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?

I was a super active mom, teacher, and trail ultramarathoner.

Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?

After my first dose I got a dry cough and felt very fatigued/ill. Following the second dose, I just got worse. Two days after my second shot I called my doctor to share that something was really wrong. I went to the ER one day when I felt like I was dying or fading away. I got antibiotics and was sent home. 6 days later the feeling returned and I was diagnosed with anxiety. 5 days after that, at this point I could barely walk, my friend (who is an OR nurse) had me check my oxygen while walking with minimal exertion. My oxygen quickly dropped into the 70's. Later that night, after a chest CT, I was diagnosed with bilateral pulmonary embolisms. Following that I was in right side heart failure, had constant tachycardia, and autonomic neuropathy. I also had acute gastritis and could barely eat for over a month. It has been 9 months and I'm still dealing with symptoms. Things are improving very slowly.

Q: What was your life like after getting the vaccine?

My life became terrifying after the vaccine. I never knew how I would make it through each day. For months I was completely miserable.

Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:

So many doctors didn't know what to make of my ongoing symptoms and illness. It was so depressing and difficult to feel unheard.

Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?

I have reported to VAERS and 2 or 3 other sites ( this was back in March and I can't remember everything from that hellish month.

Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?

I did a lot of EFT tapping to help with acute anxiety, therapy (somatic experiencing for PTSD), Qi Gong every day to help recover my lungs ( at first I could barely do 5 minutes, but I've worked up to 50 minutes), and short walks.

Q: What do you wish others knew?

I am so triggered every time I hear something on the radio or someone say that vaccines are safe and effective. There is so much ignorance and dishonesty in that statement. And it's everywhere.
