First Dose of Moderna on 1/26/21 Lot #O13L20A

Florida

Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?

I was a mom to a little boy, wife to my husband of 9 years, and worked as a Radiology Tech doing X-Ray, CatScan and MRI for almost 10 years. My family and I loved to travel, we were very active and loved living life to the fullest.

Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?

I experienced an immediate adverse reaction. Within minutes I had a metallic taste in my mouth, my lips and tongue starting burning, tingling and went numb. The Pharmacist wasn’t concerned, so he sent me on my way after waiting my 15 minutes. While driving home, I felt extreme fight or flight sensations and extreme thirst. My pulse was through the roof and I felt impending doom. I took the vaccine at almost 9:00 p.m. so I tried to sleep it off. I was up all night with extreme fight or flight, tachycardia, elevated BP, extreme arm pain at the injection site, severe headache, fever and tingling throughout my body. Things started to worsen for me over the next couple of weeks. I experienced weight loss (lost 10lbs in less than a week), loss of appetite, POTS symptoms worsened (I have a history of POTS/Dysautonomia), hand tremors, lightheadedness, vertigo/imbalance, muscle twitching, paraesthesias, extreme weakness and fatigue. In May, (around 4 months post vaccine) I woke up in the middle of the night and the room was spinning. I tried to stand and my legs were completely numb. My husband called 911 and from that day on, things progressively got worse for me. I was bedridden for months with a multitude of symptoms. I am now almost 10 months post vaccine and am thankfully showing improvements.

Q: What was your life like after you got the vaccine?

Life after the vaccine has been very difficult. I have not been able to work since receiving my vaccine in January. My husband had to take off a lot of time from work to help take care of me and my 3yo son. I was unable to drive for 3 months due to vestibular issues. My husband has to do most things for my son as I have been to sick to even care for myself.

Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:

I had several ER visits, I was diagnosed with worsening of my POTS/ Dysautonomia by my Cardiologist. I had recent bloodwork that shows my immune system is compromised. Vestibular neuritis which I did 2 months of vestibular therapy

Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?

My reaction has been reported to VAERS and Moderna. No response from either.

Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?

Monoclonal antibodies have helped with my brain fog, dizziness and fatigue. Ivermectin helped improve my muscle weakness and fatigue Black seed oil and magnesium helped with my muscle twitching.
