First Dose of Pfizer on 01/05/21
Kentucky
54 yrs old

Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?
My life was fairly "normal" and active prior to the shots. My exercise routine consisted of walking and running approximately 5-6 miles, 5 days per week, along with other upper and lower body exercises. I work full time, 5 days per week in an administrative healthcare setting.
Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?
On January 5, 2021, I received the first Pfizer covid shot in my right arm. I was rather hesitant to receive the shots, since not much is known about them or their effectiveness. But due to my position at work within a healthcare setting, and the strong push to believe these shots would "stop the spread," I decided to do my part. On January 14, 2021, a small, unexplained bleeding "cut" appeared on the top side of my right index finger. It was bleeding quite heavily to be such a small looking "cut," and I didn't know what I had done to get this "cut." I washed my hands immediately with warm soapy water and put a band-aid on the bleeding spot. On the opposite site of that same finger, a bruise also appeared. By evening, the finger became so swollen, I could barely move it and appeared to be infected, very painful. I had no idea what may have occurred to cause this. The next day, I went to one of the Walk-In Clinics within my company facility and was prescribed a 10-day antibiotic for the infection. The infection cleared up within a few days; however, the random bruising did not. (side note: I now, even to this date, randomly develop unprompted bruises and raised blister-looking lesions on my hands (primarily my right hand), purple and blue in appearance. The "blisters" often look like they may be blood-filled. Most of the time, they disappear fairly quickly, except one of the blisters---I have taken multiple pictures of my hands when these bruises and blisters are present).
On January 26, 2021, I received my second shot, this time in my left arm. I had consciously made the decision NOT to have the shot administered into my right arm, as my right hand had already endured enough hardship lately. At this point, I had made no connection to my first shot and the events which followed. On February 4, 2021, I woke up at 4:45 am as usual to go walk and run. As I stood from my bed, I felt like I could barely stand up or walk. My feet, ankles, and calves were painful, numb, weak, and I felt a tightening sensation similar to the beginning of a "charlie horse." I was persistent to stand and then even walked slowly to my kitchen, though walking was difficult. It did not take long for me to realize this very same sensation was also present in thenar region of my hands (beside my thumbs), my wrists, and my forearms as well as the base of my skull, on both sides of my upper neck. I came to the conclusion I must have slept in an awkward position, and this would likely go away with movement. However, even after hours had passed, it did not seem to be going away. I did my best to continue the morning routine with a few modifications and still went to work. Multiple doctor visits ensued thereafter, although I have not been given a diagnosis. It is now August 2022, and I am still fully dealing with the very same ailments. My functionality has been significantly impacted by the shots. I feel quite certain these ailments were prompted by the shots. Prior to the covid shots, I have never dealt with anything remotely similar. I have been prescribed Meloxicam to cope with the pain and discomfort. Meloxicam is helpful, but as any medical professional can attest, it is not safe for long-term use.
Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?
Reported to VAERS June 7, 2021
Q: Have you had Covid before?
My antibody bloodwork tests show that the only antibodies I have to SARS-CoV2 were derived from the shots and not natural exposure.
