First Dose of Pfizer in 05/21
Connecticut

Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?
My life was normal. I was always on the go with my kids and dogs.
Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?
After only my first dose of the vaccine - I had a lot of chest pain, increased palpitations, shortness of breath, increased psoriasis, joint pain, exhaustion, stomach issues, weakness, numbness in fingers, high blood pressure, and increased heart rate.
Q: What is your life like now, after getting the vaccine?
Things have been more difficult. I feel very tired a lot of the time now.
Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:
I was originally told that I had anxiety but after pressing my cardiologist, she finally did the echocardiogram and found the pericarditis. They are now telling me that I’m not eligible for an exemption from the second vaccine.
Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?
I have reported to VAERS, my local DPH, and Pfizer medical. I have received no response at this time.
Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?
I was on colchicine and ibuprofen for 90 days which helped, but it still took 3 more months for the pericarditis to clear.
Q: What do you wish others knew?
I also have a 17 year old son that had neuro changes after his second dose.
