Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?

I am a wife and mother to two teenagers. Before the vaccine I loved to run, volunteer at my children’s school, serve at our church and attend bible studies. Life was full and busy.

Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?

I had what felt like an allergic reaction to my second jab. I started having internal itching and burning skin within 30 minutes. I ended up going to the ER where they gave me steroids to combat the reaction. At that time the ER doc commented on me having PVCs on the heart monitor Prior to this, I had never had any heart issues.

Q: What is your life like now, after getting the vaccine?

I have been mostly bed ridden for the past six months. It has been the most frightening experience. I was so weak at one point that I didn’t think I would survive it. Each month has gotten a little better but I was in the ER almost weekly throughout the fall. I was finally hospitalized in September after passing out in the shower. I was too weak to even walk and had to use a wheelchair to get to my appointments. I have been diagnosed with POTS by a cardiologist and along with autonomic dysfunction with the possibility of small fiber neuropathy and mast cell activation syndrome. I have lost 20 pounds and am constantly reacting to random chemicals and foods. I started on Ivermectin a few weeks ago which is finally giving me some energy back. I am praying that Jesus will restore my health and am so grateful that He has walked beside me throughout this season of despair.

Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:

Ivermectin seems to help with my energy level. I have submitted bloodwork to a doctor's team to check my cytokine levels and try a stronger protocol. I am scheduled with the autonomic dysfunction clinic at Vanderbuilt at the end of March. I am currently on a beta blocker and low blood pressure medicine which only started after the vaccine.

Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?

I informed the ER and hospital staff that this all started with my second vaccine but they have all blown it off.

Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?

-

Q: What do you wish others knew?

This has been the most isolating and terrifying experience. If it weren’t for my faith in Jesus, I don’t know how I would have made it through. I have a long way to go to gain my life back.
