Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?
Professionally, for almost 30 years, I was a developmental biologist and project manager. I was active, happy, and perfectly healthy. I cycled to work, and for recreation. I was an accomplished alpine skier and an advanced scuba diver. We had just returned from a two-week trip hiking in the mountains prior to the vaccine injury.
Q: Would you like to share your reasons for getting vaccinated?
I was forced to take one of the vaccines or be fired from my job. I had expressed concern for the lack of a long term safety profile, as well as having reservations regarding the efficacy. I did not give informed consent (documented).
Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?
Starting September 20th, 2021, and continuing today, I have constant numbness and burning sensations thought my body. Additionally, I have chronic back pain, tinnitus, and auditory disturbances. The symptoms are aggravated by exertion (mental and physical), and have increased in severity and location over 9 months. As well, my balance is impaired and my mobility is degraded. Fine motor control is impaired and causes pain, and I have difficulty with focus. As a result of the trauma and psychological injury, I also have been diagnosed with PTSD.
Q: What is your life like now, after getting the vaccine?
My life is awful. I am disabled. My diagnosis has been met with derision. Professional associates, peers, family, and friends expressed antagonism towards the nature of my injury. My dignity and autonomy was not respected, and I was seen as charlatan and an encumbrance by my peers. Persons that espoused beliefs in diversity, equity, and inclusion seemed to be hollow, selfish bigots.
Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:
They used a novel delivery system and a novel therapeutic. It's hard to fault the lack of healthcare as they screwed up my body in completely novel ways without a known mechanism. I have been given a diagnosis of functional neurological disorder. I, and other biomedical research scientists involved in my care, do not support this. It is a derisive psychiatric disorder that I received. I was told my symptoms are primarily due to my concerns prior to injection. They told me that it was conversion disorder; my negative feelings towards their mRNA products are the cause of my bad mojo disorder. Recent data from the NIH suggest that this is not accurate and it is likely dysimmune in origin. I have referrals with researchers and specialists to clarify my diagnosis.
Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?
It was reported, investigated, and approved. Two of the first attending physicians diagnosed me, but refused to file an adverse report. This is being investigated subsequent to a complaint to the relevant regulatory body. It is a legal requirement for the attending doctor to file an adverse report in Ontario.
Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?
Nothing has helped. I have tried medication, time, physiotherapy, and chiropractic care.
Q: Have you had Covid before? What was your experience if so?
I have not had COVID.
Q: What do you wish others knew?
These adverse events are common, and the medical establishment is covering them up. I have friends that also had adverse events, and their doctors also refused to file. Connect with as many people and organizations that you can. Fight back! Document everything and lawyer up.
