Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?
I had a heart condition and had spent many years building my health back. I had been given 6 months to live in 2016 and they implanted a defibrillator. From 2017 until June 2, my heart steadily got stronger. They can print out a history of my heart's activity since the defibrillator was implanted. Since 2017 I had no incidences or activity, nor arrhythmia and my heart got steadily stronger. Going from 17% ef in 2017 to 55% in 2021. Normal is 50% - 60%. I am a landscaper and even though I am in my early 60's I was able to work 6-8 hrs a day doing very labour's intensive work. Heavy lifting, raking, shoveling etc. Plus walk my dog daily, do short hikes, generally, my heart did not stop me from doing anything I wanted to do. I had a new lease on life and felt wonderful.
Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?
The day after the vaccine I started having arrhythmia, was very tired, weak, dizzy, and generally felt like I was getting the flu. I missed a few days work. I wasn't too alarmed at first, I expected to not feel great for a few days. But I never felt better, in fact I felt worse as time went on. I called the vaccine hot line and was told it wasn't from the vaccine. On July 16th my heart stopped, I was home alone, my defibrillator restarted my heart and I came to with a broken ankle.
Q: What is your life like now, after getting the vaccine?
Since then I have had numerous tests and my cardiologist says there is no medical reason for my heart to have stopped that day. The arrhythmia started the day after the vaccine. The historical printout of my defibrillator activity shows I had no prior arrhythmia since 2017. My heart is functioning totally normally but I struggle to work even 3-4 hrs a day and don't have the energy to walk my dog if I work at all. I have to choose what I will do in a day, work, clean my house, walk my dog, I only have a few hours energy a day. I have no motivation and am fatigued all the time.
I am depressed and lost my positive outlook. I feel cheated out of my new lease on life. My ankle has not healed properly and is still painful. Plus old injuries have resurfaced causing pain in my knee, neck and shoulder.
I have taken a significant lost in income because being a landscaper I missed my busy season and now I don't know if I can continue to do that line of work because I am just not well enough. It was my dream job.
Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:
The ER doctors dismissed me when I asked if it could be the vaccine. My cardiologist has apologized for advising I get vaccinated. She said, "I didn't know." I have had an EKG, blood tests, plus the printout from my defibrillator and they all say there is no reason for my heart to have stopped that morning. It is functioning like a normal healthy heart should.
Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?
I asked my cardiologist if she would be reporting to VAERs and she said yes. I have trusted her word.
Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?
Nothing has helped, nothing has changed.
Q: What do you wish others knew?
I want people to be able to make an educated choice about what they put in their bodies. I want victims to not be villainized.
I want the victims of vaccine side effects to be acknowledged, supported, and not punished and shunned by society.
I want transparency about alternate treatments, and I want the lies to stop. Where there is risk, there has to be choice. I want democracy back.
I want people to value my life and not shrug and just accept that me and other victims of vaccines are an acceptable casualty of keeping them safe.
