First Dose and only dose Pfizer on 3/31/21 Lot #ER2613
Chino, California
FROM AMY ALVO (Abby's Mom):
My daughter was a previously healthy college cheerleader. She received the Pfizer vaccine March 31. She had her first shot and the following day, she wasn't feeling that great but insisted on going to work. That afternoon we received a call from her employer that Abby had fainted and was shaking uncontrollably. The shaking was on the right side of her body, the opposite side of where she received the injection. She was taken to the ER where they hooked her up to an IV and gave her two different medications. She was told she had an adverse neurological reaction to the vaccine. Due to not much research or study on the effect of the vaccine, the doctors were not able to give us much information. It might go away in a few days, the 2nd vaccine most likely would cause a more severe reaction but no one knows. After 2-3 days, the shaking wasn't as severe. It has now been 6 months and the shaking is still noticeable in her right arm when she is trying to be still, or holding an object and even more noticeable after exercise.
Abby is on the cheer team at Mt. SAC college and all athletes were told they now have to be fully vaccinated. Abby has until October 15 or she will be kicked off the team. She put in for a medical exemption through Kaiser due to having a documented case of an adverse reaction to the vaccine and it was DENIED. She was told that there are alternative vaccines for her to try.
ABIGAIL'S REAL, NOT RARE INTERVIEW:
Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?
I have never had any health issues. I was a perfectly healthy 17 year old teenager, played softball since I was 5 years old, was Cheer Captain of my high school cheer team. Currently on the collegiate cheer team at my college.
Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?
On March 31, 2021 I was given the 1st dose of the Pfizer vaccine, this was the only vaccine approved for my age group. After the vaccine was administered I felt faint, felt a weird sensation run through my body. I slept the rest of the day. The following morning, April 1, I woke up not feeling well still went to work. A few hours into my shift I fainted and my whole body was shaking uncontrollably, to the point I couldn’t walk. I was taken to the ER and rushed in. They immediately started running tests, I was given an IV with a cocktail of drugs until I was heavily sedated. I was having a neurological reaction, and no one had answers. My final diagnosis was an Adverse Effect of the Coronavirus Covid-19 vaccine. All of our questions and concerns were met with uncertainty. The Doctors did not know. Could my injuries get better? Could they get worse as I age? Is this the early stages of Parkinson’s? This uncontrollable shaking lasted 3 days. Now my shaking/tremors is in my right arm.
Q: What was your life like after you got the vaccine?
It has now been 7 months since I received the Pfizer vaccine. Shaking uncontrollably/involuntarily is now the norm for me. This neurological diagnosis heavily affects my daily life, from education to athletics. I now attend College and am on the Cheer team there. Due to my neurological shaking, I can’t go through a practice without having to continuously take breaks so the shaking doesn’t worsen. I attend all my classes in person, as you guys may guess, taking notes and steadily holding a pencil is far from easy. Simple things from eating, to even just firmly holding an object seems impossible to do at times. I have a constant internal vibration in my right arm and the muscles in can be seen to twitch. If i am exercising or using it a lot the shaking becomes more visible. But it never goes away.
Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:
I still have no diagnosis, I have an MRI next week. The Doctors say it looks very similar to Parkinson's. Even though my paperwork says this is caused by an adverse reaction to the Covid vaccine they are now backtracking saying these tremors couldn't be from the vaccine. I have applied for a medical exemption twice with Kaiser and both times it has been denied, stating there are two other vaccines for me to try.
Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?
The hospital never reported my adverse reaction. We reported it to VAERS and they sent us a report confirmation number.
Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?
Nothing has helped.
Q: What do you with others knew?
This vaccine does so much harm. I am scared for my friends, my family. I decided to speak up to my community and tell my story after my state has mandated ALL CHILDREN 12-17 must be vaccinated in order to attend school. Some areas in my state are already implementing proof of vaccine for ages 5 and up to eat at restaurants or go to the movies. I don't want to see other children injured from this vaccine. My friends are being forced to take the vaccine to stay in school or play collegiate sports. It can happen to you.
